The graffiti artistic universe is a vibrant and diverse space
Alberto Blanchart, born in Madrid in 1971, is a multidisciplinary artist whose career spans comics, painting, graffiti, and photography. He studied illustration at the School of Applied Arts and Crafts of Llotja in Barcelona, an institution with a rich history, where iconic artists like Salvador Dalí and Pablo Picasso also studied. During his training, Blanchart surrounded himself with influential figures like Xavier Canals and Toni Miró, who contributed to his professional development.
His passion for art began in the world of comics and expanded over time into other disciplines. Influenced by a wide range of artistic references, from photographers Robert Capa and Henri Cartier-Bresson to painters like William Turner, Willem de Kooning, Jackson Pollock, and Franz Kline, Blanchart mixes styles and techniques in his work. In his facet as a graffiti artist, he also finds inspiration in figures like Obey, Suso 33, Blu, and Banksy, although his style has always maintained a unique and bold character.
The mixed technique used by Blanchart, combining stencil, acrylic, and graffiti, is reflected in his work as a synthesis of creativity, emotions, and courage. Through light, shadows, colors, and lines, the artist moves away from conventional approaches, creating a personal and original style that conveys a strong emotional charge. His works show a new form of artistic expression, surprising and detailed, capturing the essence of his unique vision of art.
Currently, searching among what others consider dirt, there is the embryo of a new concept, on the walls of Barcelona I try to break the boundaries of street art, sometimes collaborating with galleries and groups of artists, and bringing my work through social networks, thanks to them I have been able to sell my works in Germany, the United Kingdom, France, and many others, achieving visibility that was difficult in the past.
